Set the scope
Choose one warehouse and a cutoff time. Pause movements there or record sales and receipts during the count. Export the reference list to keep a dated starting point.
Count each reference
Group variants, units and locations. Count all items physically present, including reserved items not yet dispatched. Separate damaged goods and third-party goods from saleable inventory.
Explain differences
Compare the count with recorded physical stock. Review receipts, sales, transfers and returns. Availability can be lower because of reservations; this does not necessarily mean stock is missing.
Record a justified correction
Verify the difference, use the appropriate stock operation and keep its reason. A supplier receipt records a purchase; an adjustment corrects a discrepancy. Recheck the product and warehouse after saving.
